Resistance to ozone and corona effects
Other insulation materials are resistant to ozone but they lose their characteristics due to corona effects. As for Silicon insulation, it is resistant to the both effects. Being not affected by low pressured environments is another characteristic of Silicon. For this reason, it is confidently used in the airplane industry.
